Our client is one of the prominent banking organisations in South Africa, with a footprint that extends across Sub-Saharan Africa. They are known for nurturing some of the most skilled, innovative and creative minds in the industry.

We are looking for a SalesForce Technical Lead to join their Johannesburg team. It is a permanent opportunity and they follow a hybrid work model.

There are two primary facets to the job of a Technical Lead. The first, building the practice, is about acquiring (hiring), training and developing top-class software engineers and technical experts. The second, capability building, is about defining, implementing and evolving the set of methods, practices, guidelines and frameworks that are required to continually improve the quality of technical solutions that are delivered.

Key Responsibilities:
Responsible for constructing the engineering teams.
Management of the teams specifically through performance management and career development.
Build and improve the capability to ensure the effectiveness of the software engineering practice against industry.
Oversee technical solutions delivery and management in line with quality and engineering standards and practices.
Adhere to Agile methodologies and follow Agile principles through work outputs and behaviours.
Scope, plan, design and review end-to-end solutions.
Coordinate and participate in the delivery of application code.

Minimum Requirements:
Matric
Information Technology or Computer Sciences Degree
SalesForce Administrator Certification (Other SalesForce certifications beneficial)
Technical Non-Negotiables:
Good understanding of Salesforce technology
Coding languages (Apex is essential)
5+ years’ experience in full lifecycle design and development covering solution design, application design, development, testing and maintenance, network software, operating systems, multi-tier environments, desktop and workgroup software, middleware, server technology, fault-tolerant environments, and development tools.
3+ years’ experience as both a team leader and as a member of a small team of technical staff working in an agile development environment
Basic understanding of Salesforce design and architecture will be an advantage.
