Uninterruptible Power supply (UPS) provider in South Africa and neighboring countries of Southern Africa requires the services of an assistant project manager.

Candidates should be able to provide project installation assistance for Uninterruptible power supply solutions from 600VA to Several MVA in both LV and MV configurations.

Job Summary
A highly skilled specialist who contributes to the development of new concepts and techniques consistently works on complex assignments requiring independent action. Focus is on complex tasks requiring highly skilled and independent judgement while contributing to the development of new concepts and techniques for standard operating procedures. Assists with support for the Project manager and the overall team.

Responsibilities
· Assist in the design of UPS and solar PV energy systems.
· Assess, accept and give feedback on project engineering designs.
· Manage onsite staff and contractors.
· Installation, commissioning and hand-over of complex systems onsite under extreme pressure.
· Assist and become a right-hand person to our Project Manager.
· Adaptability to frequent business trips away from home.

*Qualifications and Experience: Criteria*
High school diploma.
Tertiary education in LV, MV and or Power electronics is beneficial.
A minimum of 10 years equivalent work experience.
Experience in the sustainable energy sector would be advantageous.
Hands-on person who can assemble mechanical and electrical systems.
Good communication skills.
Good computer skills in Excel, word etc.
Attention to detail.
Understand and interpret drawings.
Problem-solving skills.
Contracts or tender experience will be beneficial.
Manage project timelines, including project supply acquisitions etc.
