To lead this dynamic team in the renewable energy field, we are seeking a candidate with a proven track record of at least 3 years in the PV and renewables field.

To take this team to the level of success we know is possible. We are looking for a strong leader to teach, coach and guide a team of professional electricians. The successful incumbent also needs to have a valid trade test and a wireman’s licence.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Prepare and maintain technical documents and reports.
Create the training materials for the team for various PV installation scenarios e.g. on-grid, off-grid, hybrid etc.
Conduct day-to-day practical and theoretical training for the installation teams, subcontractors and electricians.
Coordinate with the design team to make sure the survey data was accurately put into compliant electrical schematics.
Review the electrical designs before submission to the customer.
Interpret the designs and have a team briefing before installation to guarantee accurate installation.
Address and resolve technical inquiries.
Review and ensure that all issued COC are accurate and compliant.
Oversee installations i.e. commissioning, troubleshooting, performance and optimization.
Develop and implement corrective and preventive measures as necessary.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Must be able to start immediately/ 2 weeks’ notice
Qualification in Electrical / Mechanical / Renewables or related fields)
Trade test & Wireman’s license
3+ years of experience in the PV and renewables field.
Knowledge of PV software is an added advantage
Ability to adapt, problem-solving skills and good communication skills.
Familiarity with industry standards on SANS and IEC standards.
