My name is Yusry Adams, 33 years of age and a Btech-Marketing graduate with a completed NQF5 within Supply Chain Management. I have always been passionate about sales and marketing and therefore aligned myself in the relative field amassing over 10 years of experience within the FMCG environment at various companies where my contributions and efforts spread across retail, sales, customer relationship management and marketing. I am great at self and people management as I have learnt to manage myself and those expectations of colleagues and business partners this particular skill and attribute as well as empathyI find does play a critical role in understanding challenges and collectively formalising a pathway toward a solution. These require actions and contribution across channels and managing torelay to people the value of their contribution toward the end goal or objective does require excellent interpersonal skill both on a personal and professional level. I believe this is what drives and can really influence the decision making process having both consideration of all stakeholders and ultimatelyorganisation decision makers with you on a solution driven journey both from an internal and external point of view. Further to this my drive and ambition for excellence and knowledge is what motivates me to exceIl and do better as one can never be complacent and fulfilled as long as there is still learnings and self-improvement if one has the desire. I believe in planning, structure and great habits are key to success that I feel many can relate to andthese philosophy have shown itself beneficial in my ability to continuously meet my assigned objectives and responsibilities as well as individual personal projects that I have explored and implemented. Objective and goal setting is an exciting prospect and these challenges I often find great fulfilment in having to manifest this into tangible result it is often challenging but I find myself excited by new challenges adapting to what comes my way. In my experience I believe once business model, process and concepts are understood there is opportunity to add perspective, observe current process and collaboratively improve. Relationship building is a core strength of mine and during my professional career has played a large part in achieving various successes. This as well as my ability to manage time effectively does help productivity for myself private and professionally while delivering result. These three attributes can be stretched vastly and if applied correctly can make for faster learning, understanding of requirements, expectations and ultimately achieving strategic objectives for companies. I would like to add that since graduating with a marketing degree in 2008 I have acquired 10 years experience in an environment where I had to rely both on my education, wit and practical understanding of corporation processes to reach the level I am currently at I started in a sales environment in a factory store as an 18 year old student and have reached a level I never could have imagined without continuous improvement and excellence I believe one cannot progress and move forward with the innovation and ideas that exist. In a space where managing change and embracing these is vital it does take a flexible insightful individual and I feel I carry these characteristics. Ability to adapt and learn fast is something I hold dear as starting in a factory store where I first the meaning of discipline, retail and selling I progressed further into some of the biggest companies where I managed to progress in areas of visual merchandising, sales and product training. I now find myself in a position where I can apply knowledge of sales, mining of new revenue streams and funneling these into a system where tracking of success is vital. A major part of this is expanding clients current businesses and assisting with the sound advice of how effective management can grow and excel business while seeing value on bottom lines. Customer relationship management as mentioned earlier does sound basic and simple but co-ordinating many facets to achieve the goal and having stakeholders recognise the benefit is where I excel. Going forward I would like be in a position where my contribution is aligned with the ambitions of the company I am committed to. I have only aligned myself with key corporate FMCG companies since I graduated, but I would like spread my knowledge and skills to different industries while still remaining on the trajectory of applying my current skillset and knowledge learnt from my previous experience. So far I have managed to achieve the highest level in my career ambition as Business Manager for a key supply chain solution company. Further to this I plan to grow into a role and responsibility where I have the opportunity to manage and coach individuals one day in the future.
