Since earning a Trade test, National N Diploma and Supervisory Management diploma, I have worked for the last 30 years as an electrician and foreman at Mondi Paper, a leading paper manufacturing company. In these roles, I maintain, troubleshoot, upgrade and repair plant electrical equipment. This experience has given me a strong foundation within the industrial manufacturing I have worked on the following equipment throughout the mill: DC motors, AC motors Up to 5MW 11kv motors, controls and switch gear, 220v to 3.3Kv motor controls and switch gear, Siemens PLC’s, AC and DC drives’ Lighting and generators I am responsible for the day to day maintenance and fault finding in the plant. Maintenance techniques include the following: Routine maintenance, Preventive maintenance, Predictive maintenance, HT maintenance and fault finding.
