Good day, I`m currently working (I have been here for about 3 months) and Managing a small property with 72 room, lodge area and conferencing facilities in Botswana. I have worked for another Game Lodge Conferencing company before my current employer. Where I have learned a lot about the conferencing side of the lodging industry, that I have worked for beforehand as I have mostly worked for safari-based lodges. During my time with these lodges I have come to learn the conferencing side of the business in the aspect of setting up conference venues and preparing all the aspects of the corporate companies demands for their workshop and also organising team building events for them. Before entering into the conferencing side of the hospitality business I was managing a Camp up in the Serengeti in Tanzania for the last 2 years and 7 months. As you can see on my CV that I`m experience towards the field guiding aspects, I did learn a lot from running this camp with respect to Maintenance and Housekeeping as well. I feel that I`m a suitable candidate for the position as I`m still fairly young (early/mid 30's) fast learners and willing to learn new things. I was the Camp manager but also had to look after and maintain the camps generators, I was in charge of running and overseeing building projects, fixing items wherever it needed fixing. I`m extremely organized and Maintenance is an area I liked to work with. I was also responsible for the Maintenance stores with regards to ordering and keeping in budget etc. I also Managed the Front of house & guiding staff and overseen their training helped with the hosting at night or helping with drives or walks if needed. During my time at the camp I setup SOP`s for the Maintenance, Kitchen, Housekeeping, Front of house, Security, & Guiding departments, I also made an Emergency evacuation plan for the lodge and setup a Code of Conduct. Together with my wife we made a kiddie’s activity booklet that had guiding, cooking and cultural activities in it, that was to be given to the children on arrival to complete during their stay with us. We cost out the entire booklet and had the whole program work out for the owners and tested. I also have 2 children, our eldest is 6 years old and will be needing to go to school and our newborn of 18 Months will be needing to go to a specialist in South Africa for her feet once every few months as she was born with club feet. The club feet situation is not a permanent situation as the specialists have ensured us that her feet will be corrected. I`m available on a short notice period Relocating is not a problem for Me. Thank you,
