The course I studied, N Dip: Building (Construction Management and Quantity Surveying) combined with my experience shows that I am suitable for work that requires collecting data and using it, paying attention to detail and being in a fast-paced working environment. I am also able to do routine office tasks like cross referencing, scanning, copying and retrieval of documents. Some of the competencies that I have that will assist me in executing my duties are: • I am a quick learner, persistent and can adapt to different situations – before BroadReach I was not familiar with a Data Capturer’s responsibilities in the Department of Health including software used and the reporting tools but was able to learn and use them accordingly. • I have exceptional interpersonal and research skills – I use these when liaising with colleagues and patients when they need information or assistance. • I can follow instructions and meet deadlines – I make sure I meet the set standards and report at required intervals. • I can work independently as well as part of a team – this helps facilitate a productive working environment.
