Currently working as an intellectual property analyst (i.e. patent searcher/examiner) at Companies and Intellectual Property Commission. My knowledge in the field of intellectual property has been sharpened by means of recognized extensive training programs under the European Patent Office, Patent Attorneys Examination Board, and World Intellectual Property Organization. Broad knowledge gained over the years includes intellectual property analysis, patent analytics and analysis of technology trends. Presently, I serve in the KZN Innovation Advisory Committee. Prior to obtaining a law degree and joining the IP field, I specialized in chemistry. My research projects for postgraduate studies focused in materials and industrial chemistry. After completing PhD studies, I worked as a postdoctoral research fellow at PetroSA Synthetic Fuels Innovation Centre (PSFIC). The work conducted has been presented at international conferences and appeared in international journals.
