As a pharmacist, I completed my internship in the retail sector in Cape Town and thus have extensive knowledge about pharmaceutical care. Over the course of my studies and my internship, I have developed a skill set directly relevant to that of a pharmacist with extra focus being clinical care in our pharmacy course. During my community service year in the Northern Cape, I also completed an animal health course to broaden my knowledge and although bit out of my comfort zone, I wanted to learn about something different and really enjoyed it. After completion, I moved to Centurion, never having even been to Gauteng, to start my career as a pharmacist working in quality assurance. Here is where I have learnt the most and I am quite confident in the training I received in this regard.
