Hi there I am Steve fokam and I have a National diploma in mechanical engineering at the University of south Africa. I was always fascinated by technology, from the designing process to the building and implementation process specifically in the mechanical engineering industry. I am a curious being, always wanting to know, learn, understand and grow. I am a hard and smart worker, problem solver, i am Mechanical engineering draughtsman and a creative thinker. I believe that in finding a solution to a problem steps need to be taken, steps that are part of a process because this will always yield the correct results. Over the years after getting my matric I’ve always sought to improve myself in any aspect that might later benefit me in achieving my goals. One of these aspects was improving my communication skills while working as a waiter and later on as a call center agent, where I was able to interact with clients either face to face or over the phone. I felt like I had gain a lot from working at both positions. I was also able to apply theory to practical but also acquire workshop related skills and knowledge when I worked at a CNC milling and turning engineering company from June 2018 to December 2018. Even though I didn't spend much time there I was able to really apply myself, really learn and understand. In the interim i am looking to gain more experience in my field of study and working as a Mechanical CAD designer/freelancer is a step towards that goal. 3d mechanical part modeling , detailed 2d mechanical engineering drawings with all the required information, Sheet metal product design for manufacturing, 3D product rendering for products needed for advertising purposes. All the above is done using Autodesk inventor proffesional. I have been drafting for about more than 3 years now and have more than one year real industry experience.
