I hold a MSc degree in Chemistry specializing in chemical biology from Uppsala University (UU) obtained in 2017. To expand my knowledge of the field of chemistry I have attended several courses in and outside the University of Fort Hare and UU, with profound focus on instrumentation techniques such as NMR, FTIR, AA, SEM, CT scanner, XRD and mass spectroscopy. I am particularly passionate about green chemistry and research related to renewable energy and improving the methods of teaching and learning in the field. In 2013. I was selected by the National Research Foundation to spend a month in Russia where I was exposed to various facilities of the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research (JINR) and got hands on experience on a mini-project on nuclear research at JINR University centre. The experience expanded my knowledge in the science field and demonstrates my flexibility and ability to adapt.
