I hold a degree in biochemistry and genetics and a bachelor of science Honours in Genetics both from the University of KwaZulu-Natal. These qualifications have assisted me in acquiring the specialized knowledge and experience in the field of science. Also, they equipped me with skills within the field, which I am eager to put into use in industry. My postgraduate studies which, has helped me develop and enhance my ability to undertake independent research and gain experience in various techniques within the above-mentioned research fields. I also have one year work experience from the SAPS Forensic Science Laboratory During my internship I have learned an insight of the importance of putting science into practice to fight the everyday crime. Personally, I am a visionary who strives for excellence. I am goal orientated, hardworking, energetic, amenable to suggestions and committed to lifelong dreams. My belief is that an institutions vision can only be achieved through the collaborative efforts of the entire team and I am therefore committed to teamwork and aligning myself to working towards a shared vision to achieve a goal.
