My name is Sharleen Jones and I am a 40 year old South African female. Having matriculated in 1996, I took up employment with Kliptown Auto Spares as an Administration Assistant where my primary duties included data capturing, Store Liaising, Banking and customer query resolutions. When offered a position at Edcon, I felt that the exposure would grant me a greater understanding of the corporate environment as well as the customer service industry and a broader knowledge of the systems and procedures used within a corporate environment. I cultivated a sense of responsibility and accountability having been exposed to a high level of demand where responsive decision making is critical under a tremendous amount of pressure. Working as an Accounts Clerk, I also completed a Credit Trainee Program. It is here that I found enjoyment within training and facilitation of new recruits for the company. I found it to be a highly demanding as well as a deeply satisfying experience.
