I am an upcoming Civil Engineering Technologist passionate about the built environment and sustainable development with 2+ years of experience in the Civil Consulting & Project Management Sector. Backed by a successful period working in the sector developing an understanding of work based skills which include: design, technical report writing, engineering drawings, site inspections and project management to name a few. I have excellent communication skills which have been utilized through all the various levels of engineering, from stakeholders to colleagues. These past 4 years have allowed me to develop as a person and enhance my understanding and passion for the built environment. As a Civil Engineering Technician in Bau-afrika Consulting Engineers & Project Managers, I have worked on various projects in the commercial, residential, mixed-used and sustainable development sector. For the successful completion of these projects I exhibited good design and project management skills, civil engineering knowledge, technical report writing, site inspections, communication skills and a high proficiency in design/analysis and drawing software such as Civil Designer and AutoCAD respectively. In 2019 at Bau-afrika Consulting Engineers & Project Managers I played a key role in successfully implementing a mixed-use demand model for a mixed-use development project. This model simulated an accurate water demand which ensured an efficient and cost-effective water and sewer reticulation design. This project is testament to my experience in drainage, residential and commercial infrastructure design, innovative thinking and project implementation.
