My name is Ranagarirai Dewah. I offer more than twenty-six (26) years’ experience in the ICT field of which more than ten (10) years were as Head of an Information Communication Technology (ICT) department. I am currently self-employed as a freelance ICT consultant. I specialize in ICT project management; troubled ICT project recovery; ICT risk assessment and disaster preparation; Deployment and integration of ICT package solutions into ERP environments; Business process reengineering and business process idea generation; ICT change management and strategy formulation; ICT Dashboard formulation for performance evaluation; Database design and CAATs formulation and ICT Training. In my previous positions as Head of an ICT department, I represented the ICT function on the Board of Trustees as well as on the Board Audit committee to provide information and advice relating to ICT best practice and regulatory compliance. I was responsible and accountable for strategy formulation, influencing and spearheading new ICT solutions and providing leadership of the ICT function, I was responsible for ICT projects and contracts management, and for ensuring commercial viability of ICT projects. I was responsible for examining critically and recommending best practice ICT policies, controls and facilities, thereafter spearheading requisite changes. Coaching, training and development of ICT human capital, was my responsibility. My job entailed directing work in the ICT department and maintaining a performance dashboard to monitor achievement of ICT deliverables. Project risk assessment, monitoring and determination of risk responses and mitigation was among others, my key result area. Uninterrupted ICT service delivery was a key ICT departmental deliverable. Reinforcing my ICT and team management experience are credentials that include a Post-Graduate Diploma in Project Management (PGDPM) from Project Management Zimbabwe (PMZ), a Bachelor of Business Studies and Computing Science (BBSCT) degree from the University of Zimbabwe (UZ) and a Master of Business Leadership (MBL) degree from the University of South Africa (UNISA).
