My Name is Ponatshego Martha Moloto, a second-year masters student enrolled in the Political Studies department in the University of The Western Cape. I completed my undergraduate degree in BA with a double major in Anthropology and Political Studies, progressing with to honors level in the Political Studied department at the University of the Western Cape. In my time at the university I managed in 2017 to be accepted and enrolled into a short course called EESA (Entrepreneurship and Empowerment in South Africa) program run by Prof Michael Morris from the University of Florida for the duration of 6 weeks. Where we were placed in two SMMEs as consultants to do research and understand the issues in which the businesses were struggling with and to be able to come up with solution deliverables that would then assist in ensuring the business became more attractive and appealing to its customers. In 2018 I applied to be a tutor in Anthropology and Sociology Modules (Gender and Kinship, Social Stratification, Belief and Ritual, African Anthropology) until the end of 2019, tutoring both first- and second-year students. Additionally, having the experience of online and physical classroom teaching. It has been a beautiful experience which has equipped me with so much that I did not have coming from my undergraduate, working with lecturers, administration, confidence, organization and time management. Lastly, I have good knowledge and experience when it comes to research, administrative work, and transcribing because of I have been exposed to working in the fields including working for and NGO and with some NGOs. I enjoy teamwork and carry every task I am given with responsibility, honesty and enthusiasm. I can transfer these skills to any situation which they are called for. I view myself as a leader amongst everything else. I am reliable and compassionate towards other people. I perceive this opportunity as an advancement opportunity in my career.
