I have 22 years of experience in the Electrical Maintenance field. I started my career with Eskom in January 1992 as Apprentice and I worked with Eskom for 11 years. I have worked myself up from Apprentice, Artisan- Electrician, and Electrical Technician to Senior Electrical Technician. Completed a National Diploma in Electrical Engineering Heavy Current and Trade Test Certificate in Electrical. I have worked in Generation, Distribution and Test department until I left Eskom end of June 2003. I then started working for PetroSA from July 2003 and I have worked my way up from Technician, Lead Electrical Technician and to Electrical Engineer as Responsible Person Electrical on the FA Platform working on a two weekly rotation offshore until 30 April 2016. Stand-in as FA Platform Maintenance Superintendent for a period of 1 Year, where I managed three departments Instruments, Mechanical and Electrical. In 2018 Sept, I worked as Fixed Term contractor for Springbok Experience Rugby Museum until 31 May 2019 as Facilities Officer managing and maintain the physical and electronic infrastructure of the SA Rugby Museum. I am currently with Department of Health Engineering Directorate and Industrial Technician Electrical; I render technical support in engineering research, design, manufacturing, operations and maintenance. My Exposure ranges from generator maintenance, transformer maintenance, cable fault location and repairs, testing of HV,MV and LV protection schemes, commissioning of new substations and protection schemes, medium and low voltage safety switching, ups, synchronizing generators, fault finding, preventative maintenance, safety management of personnel and equipment as a key importance, supervising and managing projects. I have ability to unity diverse teams, work under pressure and doing to achieve strategic objective of the organization. I have successfully revived the maintenance systems by paying detail to current maintenance strategies, challenging each task based on industry standards and risk analysis based on critical and resources availability. I have successfully executed various projects; some of them are removal of 4.6MW 3.3kV Generator for 80000 running hrs, replacement of Anode and Cathode cells for electro chlorination unit and many more. I can manage and supervise small and large teams successfully and deal simultaneously with all aspects of the business environment. I am not limited to maintenance because I know how to manage budgets by implementing proper control measures, monitor cost management by having monthly and quarterly reviews, as well as continuously searches for areas of improvement to systems. I maintain strategic focus concerning staff, business process ensuring everyone is on board, and that constant communication takes place including stakeholders so as not to lose focus on Vision, Mission and Organisational Planning.
