Hiring a contractor Contractors can technically be foreign sole proprietors, people registered as an LLC (with their own private limited company) or people with any legal entity. In fact, it’s very common for remote workers to be hired as independent contractors. The relationships between the employer and the contractor will be identified as B2B. That arrangement is highly recommended for international remote hires.
