I am a structural engineer based in Gauteng. My responsibilities comprise of the financial and technical management of projects. I currently work in the industrial, petrochemical, energy and mining sectors designing non-process infrastructure and bulk material handling facilities for clients such as SASOL, Exxaro, South32 and Transnet. I have experience in engineering principles, tools and practises with emphasis on structural engineering and bulk material handling focussing on reinforced concrete design, structural steel design, construction materials, construction monitoring, quality assurance and quality control. I have worked on projects located in South Africa, Australia and New Zealand as well as projects in Tanzania and the Middle East. I hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil engineering from the University of the Witwatersrand, I am registered as a Professional Engineer with the Engineering Council of South Africa and I am also certified as a Project Manager with the Project Management Institute.
