I was employed by the University of Cape Town as an Administrative Assistant in the Commerce Faculty where I was capturing student bio-data to the system for different courses and printing of certificates. Before then I was also employed by this institution as an administrative assistant in assistant in the Student Housing and Residence Life department. This position entails execution of the admission of students into the term residences. The job involves processing admissions, applications, communicating with applicants, internal and external stakeholders regarding services provided and housing policies. Other activities include, planning and managing of mid year admission cycle, co-coordinating withdrawal processes, reporting on students bookings, fees charged, waiting list and generating accommodation reports to the Residence Management team. My acquired skills, knowledge and training experience makes me confident in applying for this position. I see myself as a go getter and I thrive on challenges. I present myself with confidence in dealing with clients. I display positive energy which I believe is generously shared with the team, colleagues and our customers in a sense that I take my role seriously. My aim is to identify problems and solutions, have new ideas and improvements and constantly strive for accuracy and maintain s high level of accountability in what I do. This is how I will add value to this position for the benefit of the department. I am very happy to say that I always strive to add value to all that I do. I continuously up skill myself as I believe that "knowledge is power" and training is an important asset for both my personal and professional growth.
