I have invested 13 years in a data management support role with an internationally acclaimed clinical research unit. I resigned in 2019 to redirect my career. My time at CHRU, an independent clinical research department of the Wits University began in 2006 as a data clerk. The role gave me good grounding in collecting clean data as well as familiarised me with the meticulous nature of research protocols for data collection. I grew to be an internal developer of collection tools and storage databases for some of the internally driven research projects. In my later role as a data coordinator I had well cultivated the skills of data extraction, exporting and reporting. In anticipation of new trends driven by technology maturity such as machine learning, business intelligence etc. I am reposition my career direction accordingly. My working life started with Citibank in the days of the dotcom boom which gave me priceless exposure to global commercial trends and a life long interest in the world of business. I am thus well vexed with business processes and keep up with the trends. It gives me great pleasure to continuously gain experience through working with organisations overcoming different challenges.
