I started my working experience at Sasol Secunda in 1998 as a Mechanical Fitter Apprentice, qualified after three years and worked as a fitter at the Turbine shop rotating equipment for for than 5 years. I was then employed at Procurement department as a Mechanical Technical officer. my primary duties were to inspect all incoming equipment for specification compliance. I applied to the Sasol Inspection Department for the inspector training program. I was accepted and qualified as a Competent Person of Pressure Vessel 606. I have bee working as an inspector ever since until my last day at PetroSA where I was retrenched due to company's operation requirement.
