My many years as editor/writer/proofreader stand me in good stead for any writing position. Planning, researching, writing news and advertising copy and advertorials; proofreading and editing have been my daily work. Liaising with the different departments and their staff, my newsroom journalists and production people, and the public is what I loved. It’s all about text now and using words to get the message across and that is my talent. I have pivoted from being an editor/journalist to content, copywriter, UX or any other writing that is needed. I have studied writing online and have a great understanding. I easily adapt using my journalistic and editing skills for good English and then I let my creative flair run riot. What a trip. So, the best writing understands the reader/the audience and anticipated the questions. The writer must understand what the reader wants or needs. And today, the sharp writer will also understand the marketing mix, the funnels, the root.
