I am currently a Researcher with the Police and Prisons Civil Rights Union where my responsibilities centre on the financial and investment initiatives of the South African Police Service as well as the Traffic and Correctional Services departments. I conduct research on strategic and operational issues, compile various reports and position papers to the Parliamentary Portfolio Committees, Collective Bargaining Councils and contribute to the work of our Central Executive Committees and National Congresses amongst other organisational activities. I am further involved in the organisational periodical Newsletter; all this has thus allowed me to gain experience in the political arena as well as parliament. I have a sound educational background, which includes a Bachelor of Arts degree with majors in Economics and Business Administration. I also hold a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours), with majors in Financial Economics and Investment Management qualification. I am currently developing my skills by pursuing a certificate in Statistical Research Design and Analysis. My IT proficiency includes Microsoft Office Suite and I am also familiar with a number of financial, accounting and statistical applications. My strengths include strong organisation, the ability to effectively interpret and analyse financial. I work equally well independently or as part of a team.
