I acquired my National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering in the year 2018 at Vaal University of Technology (VUT) .I have previously worked at Lepelle Northern Water (1 year, 4 months) as a Learner Technician, NATREF-SASOL (1 year) as a Candidate Mechanical Technician and currently at South 32((5 months) as Learner Technician, with three (3) years combined experience as a Candidate Mechanical Technician and I currently seeking employment as a Mechanical Technician. I have experience in the rotating equipment field (pump, turbine, compressor, fan and blower) covering design, installation, commissioning, monitoring, maintenance, failure modes, problems and troubleshooting. I have thorough knowledge of engineering practices and economic principles, calculation methods, design details, standards and specifications. In my previous company (NATREF-SASOL), and Current Company (South 32) my duties were to provide technical assistance to the maintenance team, carry out routine maintenance on rotating equipment, carry out visual checks for seal for leaks, disassemble equipment, replace parts, clean equipment, replace packing and gaskets, repair as appropriate, check bearings and reassemble. Ensure correct alignment and tolerances, using precision measurement instruments, such as laser alignment equipment, DTI clock gauges, micrometres, gauges and Verniers. Do vibration monitoring and oil analysis for predictive and preventive maintenance. Do planning of new projects, carry out Management of change (MOC) procedures. One of my projects at NATREF-SASOL were on J14002 pump change of seal piping plan 53A to the 53B, and the J12006 introduction of steam quench line for mechanical seal. I have skills in SAP, i.e. creating, reading and approving notifications, checking history of equipment, create repair work sheet (RWS), create and check work orders, etc...
