I’m a qualified Chartered Accountant with 2 and a half years post article experience, currently unemployed, looking for great and challenging permanent opportunities in the commercial space both from a number crunching position and operational perspective. I did my articles at Small/Medium firm where I was exposed to different industries, namely Logistics, Manufacturing, Mining, FMCG, Health and Telecommunication, to name a few. Achieved first time board passes for both of SAICA’s qualifying exams, have held a number of mentoring roles through ABASA and SAPNA programmes and also leadership role during my articles. I’m a Goal Driven, Entrepreneurially Driven, Deadline Driven, Attention to Detail, Leadership skilled, Well-rounded individual due to my multi-industry auditing and commercial experience and strong problem solver and decision-making individual in need of commercial experience coupled with great mentorship. My achievements are namely, the implementation of a new internal controls for two clients which led to the discovery of fraud and theft, I’ve collected a total of R5million overdue accounts in my first 4 months of being a Management Accountant at my current employer. I have drafted financial statements, including consolidations, for several clients in order to meet their reporting deadlines to their foreign parent companies, and in doing so, required me to research accounting rules and regulations and make recommendations regarding company policy to ensure compliance with IFRS and IFRS for SMEs.
