I have a B. Com from the University of South Africa (with majors in Information Technology, Business Management and Accounting), as well as a B-BBEE Management Development Programme (BBBEE-MDP) from Wits University, and an MDP from Manchester Business School and the University of Stellenbosch Business School. I have over 11 years’ experience in B-BBEE and Transformation Management, including 4 years’ experience in B-BBEE and ESG Advisory to corporate clients of various sizes in industries including financial services, manufacturing, ICT, and transport and logistics, as well as over 7 years’ experience in transformation management in various corporate roles, including managing the entire B-BBEE compliance process from strategy formulation to scorecard verification, developing and executing CSI programmes, and leading transformation and employment equity committees. I have over 15 years’ experience in senior and executive management roles in marketing, information technology, facilities management and human resources in a variety of industries including IT, retail and sports marketing. I have also been involved in running my own businesses and understand the challenges facing entrepreneurs, and how properly managed Enterprise and Supplier Development programmes can make a difference to small businesses.
