I am a young South African artist passionate about our budding Animation industry and the international Animation world. I am very passionate about storytelling and visual language. I graduated from The Animation School - Africa's leading school in the field of animation. Last year I had the opportunity to host a Life Drawing class at the CTIAF (Cape Town International Animation Festival) which taught me the value of giving back as I thoroughly enjoyed it - this helped me realize that the world of animation is far more than just work. I believe I am a hard-working and motivated artist, having had the chance to Art directed my award winning third year film The Sugarcane Man which dealt with bringing awareness about Joseph Koney (a Ugandan Warlord), I think I would be a positive contributor to any animation production pipeline as the award winning short taught me about the dynamics of teamwork and working with limited resources. I am currently hired as a Junior Production Supervisor at The Animation School for the Annecy Short it is producing for ANNECY 2020, to help the students along with production which will complete on 29 May 2020. Skills that I excel in are: Character Animation, 2D and 3D Modeling high quality Characters, Transferring 2D conceptual work into the 3D realm Concept art and color - Character and environmental Shading and layout of Assets to achieve realistic/ believable sets I really enjoy keeping animated work light and fun as I believe this helps keep a team motivated and performance at it’s best..
