My working career has been almost exclusively devoted to achieving success in Gaming, Hospitality, Communications, Event project management and conferencing arena. Through hard work and dedication, I have been afforded opportunities to thrive in an ever-changing, challenging, and exciting industry. I am a strategic operator and enjoy collaborating with management, colleagues, and clients to compile a realistic business strategy to achieve our objectives and guiding my team with SMART goals. I have managed events operations in several Casino’s, Arenas, stadiums and convention centers across South Africa and Africa. I am a great influencer of others and I drive results through collaboration, I work with colleagues and contacts at all levels of an organization to develop relationships and growth. I enjoy operations and believe that our staff are our most important asset, so a well-trained and motivated team is important. I have equipped myself with the required skills to be able to uplift my teams and be on the ground with them to encourage and mentor them. My teams have been made up of marketing, public relations, casino promoters and VIP hosts, sales, event managers, co-ordinators, banqueting teams, chefs, cleaners, security, finance, maintenance and IT. The teams KPI’s were clearly communicated and staff rewarded for exceptional performance Often services are also provided by outside suppliers and vendors, so I needed to ensure their SLA aligned to our standards and expectations, and to foster good relations with them. These measures assist in delivering an exceptional Client experience. I keep myself up to date with the industries latest trends and innovation to drive efficiencies in service delivery. I have a thorough understanding on Hybrid events having delivered Vodacom’s events virtually throughout lockdown. I have also strategized on how to activate them within the conference arena to complement our offerings and not be detrimental to our business. I have learned to embrace and take advantage of technology to enhance business. I give direction to the development, implementation and management of marketing campaigns that promote gambling, conferencing and entertainment events, venue products and services. I play a major role in enhancing brand awareness within the digital space as well as acquiring leads/customers. I strive to identify and evaluate new digital technologies and use Web analytics tools to measure site traffic to better optimize marketing campaigns, email marketing and social media. In terms on financial management and data analysis skills, I have managed large departmental, large scale events and conference budgets, where I strive to implement cost effective measures to ensure revenue targets are met and where possible savings are found.
