Being home schooled, I learnt to find information on my own. During my homeschool journey, I found an interest in coding and taught myself the basics with various online platforms. I came across an opportunity with We Think Code, offering sponsorship to study Software Development through them. I did the tests and made it through. Thousands applied, but I was one of the 120 chosen to be sponsored. It was a 2 year course. Within this time I did 2 internships of 4 months each, one at Derivco in Durban and one at BCX in Centurion. I am a self starter and ready to put my skills and knowledge to work. I am able to work in groups and independently to achieve a client's objective and project goals. I am aware that the IT industry is fast moving and always changing. I believe I will be an asset to the company who employs me as I am determined to learn and grow and add value.
