I am currently employed at Western Cape Rehabilitation Centre, the institution advertised, as a senior physiotherapist for the past 10 years. This experience gives me the precise knowledge and competency of the physiotherapy component which this post requires at your institution. As you read further, it is clear, that the vast majority of my work experience was as an acting chief of the physiotherapy department of the respective provincial district hospitals. My strong presentation and comprehensive use of computer literacy skills has been used to motivate procuring a specialised mattress( Roho Sofflex ) used in bed-ridden clients being managed with skin sores or post-operative wound healing that, not only promotes sound scientific, based knowledge application but also minimises further complications which result in longer bed occupancy thus higher financial burden to the institution. Beyond the scope of clinical practice I am currently engaged in, I am also a representative in my division as a Health and safety officer which makes me well acquainted in the Labour relations Act of South Africa. My leadership abilities in an Inter-disciplinary team are well utilised to chair meetings or in an assisting role to the supervisor or contributing to any sub-committee meetings, when needed. I have a keen eye for detail, good typing skills, ability to work in a deadline driven environment, the flexibility to change priorities as necessary. I am also flexible regarding working hours including after-hours, week-end and public holidays, and am prepared to go beyond the requirements in pursuit of excellence.
