I have a National diploma and Btech degree in journalism from the Durban University of Technology. My most recent position was at Caxton Newspapers' Highway Mail an area specific publication as a reporter and photographer. I left the organisation in 2016 to work for local commercial radio station, Gagasi FM another one of my passions but went back to print for financial reasons. I was part of the establishing team of the online newspaper JournalismIziko (student online paper for DUT journalism students), which I was first just a reporter for then later a multimedia and digital media editor for a year. I have worked for the KZN Department of Arts and Culture as an in-service trainee in the communications services unit for six months, creating content for the website, Twitter and Facebook. I have freelanced for online newspapers outside of KZN. My skills include news reporting, feature writer, blogging, vlogging, social media management, media strategist and photography.
