I enjoy working outdoors and I’m eager to turn my talent for map reading, data analysis, data visualization and data production into actionable growth strategies. Additionally, I am looking to upscale and diversify my skill set and possibly transition into an exciting and challenging career in a purpose driven company. During my previous role at Stats SA, my core responsibilities included: 1. Providing geographical support to external and internal clients. 2. Producing and distributing digital maps using Arc Map. 3. Extracting and disseminating statistical information from SuperCross. 4. Assisting in maintaining and updating the Stats SA provincial geographical frame (Dwelling Frame and Place Name spatial layers) 5. Geocoding "MasterSample" geospatial data using Microsoft Access and Arc Map. 6. Submitting weekly progress reports to the Statistical Support and Informatics division manager. 7. Attending and participated in the Sustainable Development Goals Provincial Consultative Workshop, in East London, South Africa. At Rhodes University I was provided the opportunity of travelling to Erlangen, Germany and attended a number of seminars which focused on quantifying and analysing urban green spaces. Additionally, my work at Rhodes has mainly dealt with using Geographic Information Systems to map changes in the distribution of urban green spaces in the Eastern Cape.
