I have 21 years working experience as a professional engineer in both electrical and mechanical disciplines. My inclination is more towards the electrical side and I have covered all voltages from 400V to 765kV. I am co-author to the book “Planning, Design and Construction of Powerlines”. My work experience was gained on the African continent (DRC, Mozambique, and Botswana to name a few) and in Europe (Paris, Normandy, Helsinki and Bosnia to name a few). I have tackled very diverse engineering projects such as Rural Electrification, Urban Electrification, and Buildings, Demand side Management, Solar Energy, Design and Project Management of powerlines. My initial training was at Kendal power station on the Boiler and Turbine, and later on I worked in Distribution and Transmission Projects. I am currently working as a Freelance Engineer in mines in the Northern Cape and I also do Designs and Professional sign offs for various companies on Energy and Power related projects. I enjoy working as a team member and love to teach and mentor junior engineers. I was previously rewarded with Mentor of the Year Award whilst I was still working for Eskom. I am proficient in Microstation, PLSCADD, and MS Office suite just to mention a few. I am able to relocate or travel from Johannesburg if the Projects require me to do so. I am available immediately. I welcome the opportunity to discuss anything about my professional work experiences. I will be delighted to hear from you as soon as you receive my application.
