I worked on the equipping of the shaft installing the rails and bunting sets, pipes, the construction of the stations and loading boxes, maintenance on winders(daily, weekly, six monthly and yearly examinations), front and back ends, installing and maintaining the conveyance cages (service, man, counter weight cages and skips) and all the attachments, hoisting up and installing sheave wheels in the head gear . As an apprentice I also got an opportunity to work on different machinery and equipment on the mine at Wesizwe:Bakubung Platinum Mine (On-Job Training Site), including but not limited to underground Aard LHDs and UVs and Sandvik Drill Rigs and surface TMMs include Mobi Lift Tractors and Manitou fork lifts, Pumps ( Submerssible Quimby Pump, Vertical Spindle, Centifugal and Versamatic), Conveyor Belts. Also completed all the formal apprencticeship training modules at Aveng Mining Training Center (MQA). I have over 4 years in the mining industry, started as a Pump Attendant underground, went on to work as Artisan Assistant Fitter Surface Workshop and spent 3 years as an apprentice working both surface and underground. I qualified as an 18.2 Leaner Apprentice and my contract ended after qualifying. I am unemployed, available immediately and willing to relocate. I eagerly anticipate your response.
