Being able to pay attention to the minute details of heavy equipment repair is crucial and I am detail oriented. • Strength: Some equipment can be extremely heavy and will take a lot of strength to move or manipulate. I can perform these tasks safely and am able to call for assistance when needed. • Mechanical Skills: I have familiarity with parts and components of complex machinery and engines, as well as the tools required to fix them. • Technical Skills: I am familiar with electronics, and am able to read blueprints, or use electronic diagnostic equipment to troubleshoot repairs. • Manual Dexterity: I rely on my hands and great hand-eye coordination to be able to perform all tasks. • Troubleshooting Skills: I am able to assess mechanical, hydraulic and electrical systems, identify problems, and think about possible solutions and proceed with the job. • Ensure that all mandatory Codes of Practice, policies and procedures for the workplace and sites worked on are followed. • I keep abreast of developments within the industry and determine the impact of changes in order to comply. • Review and analyse available resources to ensure that effective performance is achieved and maintained.
