I have grown immensely within the role of microbiologist focusing largely on the identification of environmental isolates and its impact on sterile processing. I obtained my BSc Microbiology degree in 2016 from the University of Pretoria and I am WES verified. Through my studies, I have gained insight and knowledge in the areas of Virology, Bacterial Genetics, Microbe Interactions, and Gene Manipulation of Microbes. This was a steep learning curve and allowed my passion for science, specifically in microbiology to grow immensely. In my current capacity as a Quality Control Analyst at the Biovac Institute, I’m in dual support to the Microbiology and Quality Control Lab teams. Over the past four years, I have gained valuable experience in cGMP, cGLP, cDocP, including USP and EP regulations. This provides me with a unique competitive edge in having deep insight and understanding of the technical knowledge and skill required to perform each role with precision and efficiency. I have extensive experience in raw material and process testing while being responsible for stock management thereof. I currently possess additional responsibility of being a Health and Safety Officer and I form part of the Employee Ethics and Skills development committee. I am an exceptionally hard worker, an ambitious and goal-driven individual. I pride myself in paying attention to the finer details and possessing great communication skills both written and verbally. I work well within a team and independently and always aim to produce quality work. My skills include technical report writing, proficiency in solving mathematical calculations, I am a problem solver, and decisive decision-maker.
