I am a happy-friendly type of person - a quality that earned me the nickname: Ncumi (I believe it was short for umntu oncumile which means smiling person in Xhosa) - from a regular customer. According to a personality test, I am an INFJ, I’m also classified as an extroverted introvert. I enjoy customer service and regard it a vital component of any business. I regard anyone as a potential customer, including my colleagues and peers and therefore are always prepared to serve. I’d like to inspire my colleagues, learn from them and hopefully become a great leader. I am a very creative, innovative & inventive individual, and while that may seem cliché, I have applied myself in arts & crafts, photography, writing & organised and assisted in the organising of various events including Green Day, year end functions and other welcoming/farewell functions for area managers, the CEO and others. I also have a knack for analysing potential problem areas and have been known to come up with a solution or two that could be applied in order to save the company costs, time, manpower or all of the above. In all this, I have had the privilege to work with great people of all levels in the industry/organisation. I learned to delegate, but I mostly enjoyed to dig in myself and work with the people as a team. I have a pretty good idea about logistics, basic accountancy, office administration, sales and the basics of computers and I am a very curious person.. I like to learn - especially when I can figure it out myself or ..well, let's face it.. I Google it! Striving to establish my independence early in life, I started working at age 15 at my mother’s place of work (HPCSA) as a data capturer and later assisting in the finance department counting money & postal orders, banking etc. & doing filing for other departments. Whilst studying, I also helped out at UNISA as a packer(exam papers etc.) and as an invigilator during exam times. Almost everywhere I worked, I took on additional responsibilities and always strived to achieve the highest accuracy and quality of work. I’m not a workaholic, but I am a hard worker. I like it. Especially if I get a chance to hyperfocus on little details… not in an OCD way, just ADHD…
