I am a 26-year-old female whom resides in the East of Johannesburg. I studied a BA Degree in Public Management & Governance at the University of Johannesburg from 2012 then graduated in the year 2016, March 16th (4 years record time). A month later I acquired an opportunity to serve as a Frontline Assistant/Local Youth Officer (internship contract) under the National Youth Development Agency (NYDA) and Inqaba Yokulinda until October 2016 (7 months). The two organizations are in a formal partnership and both specialise in Youth Development; Skills Development and Graduate placements which is how I became a part of Inqaba Yokulinda till date. Due to the manner that I professionally presented and carried myself, in November 2016 I was provided an opportunity to officially be part of Inqaba Yokulinda Youth Organisation which is an NPO focused on Education & Skills Development. As a Branch Office Administrator I had already attained a few key skills from NYDA which included being attentive to detail; human skills; report writing; file coordination; taking minutes; drafting letters for partnerships and being client oriented. A year later I was appointed as Head of Administration. My key responsibilities include ensuring that all reports are submitted to the Supervisor on a monthly basis in order to keep track of the operations in all branches; drafting and submitting proposals for approval; scheduling of meetings or brainstorming sessions for programs' progress; typing, compiling and preparing presentations and correspondence to stakeholders; liaising with staff, suppliers and stakeholders. I am also in the HR division whereby we recruit graduates and beneficiaries for various programmes to be placed under contracts by entities such as ETDP Seta; Services Seta, TETA, FP & M Seta, just to name a few. My responsibilities include attaining graduates that meet the stipulated criteria set; interviewing; inducting and ensuring that they are hosted in specific host employers where they will obtain skills and knowledge related to their career fields. Lastly, I serve as a Personal Assistant to the CEO of the organisation and as a first point of contact; dealing with correspondence and phone calls that may require some of the information pertaining the organisation; managing and organising meetings and appointments; booking and arranging travel, transport and accommodation; organising events and conferences; reminding the manager/executive of important tasks and deadlines. I am currently seeking employment in a broader corporate environment whereby I will be open to new challenges, for personal and professional growth.
