I decided to study Civil Engineering as I have always been passionate about the built environment and its unique ability to enhance human lives and create a world capable of sustaining and progressing modern civilisation. I have acquired my BSc. (Eng) honours degree from the University of the Witwatersrand, with a theoretical background focused but not limited to structures, hydraulics and project-management. My final year thesis was based on the environmental and sustainable improvement of concrete as a construction material, to enhance the industry in terms of economy as well as sustainability. I have worked and been part of teams in different settings, which has allowed me to work under as well as lead people of different personalities and from diverse backgrounds, this has enhanced my communication as well as collaborative skills and would make me an asset to an engineering team. Apart from Civil Engineering, my other interests include reading, food, design and DIY. I am also a football fanatic and love the outdoors; horses, hiking and scuba diving are usually how I spend my free time. I have a keen interest in politics as well as business optimisation and management. I aspire to be a professional that lives passionately and true to myself and my values, while touching the lives of all who crosses my path. My colleagues regard me conscientious, reliable and hard-working. I am a determined and highly motivated individual with an ambition to fulfil my potential and be the best possible version of myself.
