I completed my Masters in Clinical Pharmacy in 2018 through a 2 years academic internship. While completing my academic internship I worked in Dr. George Mukhari Academic Hospital’s pharmacy and went on daily ward rounds with doctors providing clinical services. I also have 5 years of retail experience from working in Dis-Chem as a pharmacy student during vacations in my under- and postgrad years. Currently I am working as a community service pharmacist in a primary health care setting. During this year I have mentored and educated my peers not only on pharmacology points but also on Antibiotic Stewardship principles, difficult medicinal interventions, file audits etc. I exceeded expectations as an employee when I created and implemented worksheets to track antimicrobial utilization and medicine orders. These worksheets were adopted regionally. Further I developed a tool used in a primary health care setting to audit patient files. I used the knowledge I have gained during my Master’s degree to enhance patients quality of life through critical interventions. I am an independent researcher with experience in research, data- and statistical analysis and data presentations. No matter where I have worked, I have produced topnotch work because I am a hard worker who is dedicated to every project. I am looking for a position where my contributions count and my efforts are appreciated- and hopefully long-term commitment.
