I started my full-time career at Regional Business Analytics, later named http://www.******.***.za. I did in-depth economic research and data splicing for the South African Barometers. I held the position as Delivery Manager at Maurice Kerrigan Africa. The role made me the departmental head of training and logistics. I managed three different teams comprising of an in-house logistics team, an external team of facilitators and an external team of suppliers. I formed part of the senior management of Maurice Kerrigan Africa. As part of senior management strategic planning and competitive positioning became part of my role. In addition to the day-to-day duties at Maurice Kerrigan Africa, I took a lead role in the delivery, management and logistics of the Sun International project. The R24-million project ran over two years, where I was the centre point of communication. This included the scheduling of the seven different training programmes, managing 25 facilitators and all logistics, together with the delivery of training materials and certification across Southern Africa. Starting in February of 2012, my role as Delivery Manager included the sales management of Cabanga Conference Centre, a division of Maurice Kerrigan Africa. In August 2012 I joined IBFN as a consultant in the manufacturing and mining industries. I specialised in processes, systems and production optimisation through the principles of Continuous Improvement. I also focused on the deployment of strategic objectives and performance indicators to all levels of employment. I furthermore developed, deployed and conducted data analysis for surveys and assessments. Consulting’s challenge is getting people fully engaged without having any direct authority over them. Establishing and maintaining credibility is a key to success. Since I started at IBFN, I have worked extensively with the process controllers, tile wrights and management of four of Ceramic Industries’ factories. Remarkable results were visible at the Pegasus and Vitro plants with a significant improvement in their production. I have been involved in the strategy development and deployment of Jonker Sailplanes. Jonker Sailplanes is a sailplane manufacturer based in Potchefstroom and is currently in the top three sailplane manufacturers in the world. Since IBFN’s involvement, the production process has been sped up by five days per glider. I developed and deployed the Vodacom Consumer Behaviour Survey in February 2016 and concluded the data analysis in July 2016. I have returned to Maurice Kerrigan Africa as the Manager of Operations. The position enables me to manage the total operations side of Maurice Kerrigan Africa and Cabanga Conference Centre. In addition to my managerial role, my first order of business is to establish, improve and optimised both entities’ processes and systems.
