I am in possession of the following qualifications: Master in Business Administration (MBA); Certified Internal Auditor (CIA); Certification in Control Self-Assessment (CCSA); Diploma in Internal Audit; and N4 National Certificate – Commerce. I have over 22 years of experience holding various positions in finance, internal audit and risk management. Until December 2012, I was a Risk Manager at Hernic Ferrochrome (Pty) Ltd with the primary role of establishing an enterprise-wide risk management function, facilitating Business Continuity Planning and Disaster Recovery Planning; and assist with the administration of the J-Sox Project. Before joining Hernic, I worked in internal audit field, holding various senior management positions for a number of organisations including, but not limited to, listed company, international conglomerate and a state owned entity. The organisations I worked for include the following: Eastern Platinum Limited (Lonmin); Johannesburg Consolidated Investments (JCI); Deloitte; Standard Bank of South Africa Ltd; De Beers Consolidated Mines (Pty) Ltd; AvdTech Ltd, TransCaledon Tunnel Authority (TCTA) and Evraz Highveld and Vanadium Ltd. I also worked at North West Department of Finance from July 2015 to July 2017 as a specialist in Risk and Internal Audit. During 2016 I was seconded as an Administrator for Budget and Treasury Office at Mahikeng Local Municipality for three months until new administration was elected into office at the municipality. I was also seconded as an Acting Municipal Manager at Rustenburg Local Municipality from November 2016 to March 2017 when the position was filled.
