As a results-driven individual with managerial- and contract management background, I have a proven track record of providing excellent levels of service as EPC Site Civil Engineer, Project Manager, Assistant Resident Engineer and Site Agent respectively with EPC Contractor, clients, consulting engineers, contractors, and fellow employees. My expertise’s are in the fields of wind farm layout designs, road construction, reinforced concrete foundations for wind turbines and road rehabilitation (asphalt, chip and spray, slurry-seals, crack-sealing (Rubber bitumen), crusher-run), and -construction and reinforced concrete structures such as in-situ cast concrete piling, ground- and stand-up beams, roof- and floor slabs as well as sewer pump stations and settling dams. My experience also includes conventional building (from foundation to roof), rail construction, open-cast mining as well as earth dam construction with concrete inlet- and outlet structures, lining and sub-soil drainage work for EPC contractors, civil contractors and consulting engineers. The OHS Act was implemented vigilantly on my projects as some was done on wind energy facility construction, mining sites and general civil construction sites, where the OHS standard was set at a very high standard and audited by the safety officers of the mine. The area where the Wind Farm is being developed is situated in a low rainfall area and the invasive alien plants have created an impenetrable wall of plants. I have researched the utilization of the invasive plants as animal feed and was involved in the processing and marketing of the end-product. This also creates a situation where the indigenous plant species are pushed out and erosion can deteriorate the natural environment. Search and Rescue operations were done by a registered botanist to relocate protected plants and plants of concern. By implementing a viable solution, most of the problems from the construction side as well as the environmental effect, were being addressed.
