I studied mechanical engineering at College. I got into the explosives industry specialising on hydraulics and eventually found myself supporting the business in electronics which led me to be trained in explosives engineering. I had to do a blasting ticket course to improve compliance as I had to go and demonstrate product use and trial products on customer's site. The blasting ticket allowed me to carry legal appointments on the mines. I had to do business qualifications up to Post Grad Diploma and currently in the MBA final year. In my career I have been excelling in my appointments until I was given an Expatriate appointment to the DRC (Congo) to go and grow business in the face of challenges as competitors tried to wrestle out the business from our company. Since then I have been sent to rescue the business where operational, efficiencies and safety concerns are high
