I am a nurse and despite that being where the majority of my work experience lies I have decided that I want a change in a person and service orientated job. I also feel that the skills between the two roles are exchangeable. Having worked on busy medical and surgical wards people skills lie central to the roles. This for instance includes listening to what people have to say and need and then responding (with communication and action) in a solution focused way, managing a busy work load, consistently documenting and using new IT systems, working as part of a team to reach an end goal which is in the "clients" best interest, and working with attention to detail. As an individual I take pride in my work and enjoy working with people to establish plans and resolve problems. I am compassionate, reliable, and take opportunities to develop my skills and knowledge through learning and practice. I take opportunities to enhance my skills and learn new things.
