I have worked for Standard Bank for 33 years but had to resign as result of illness. For the past nearly 5 years I operated as a Business Consultant assisting clients with analyzing their businesses as well as arranging finance for them either for expansion or new business. I am an analytical, attention to detail and results driven person who has managed the debt and investments, at a substantial level, of a portfolio of agricultural clients in various industries. The managing included the annual review of the credit facilities and placing new credit business on the books and submit the motivated application to Credit Division. Apart from the lending I am trained to do marketing of associated products. I have good knowledge of acquiring the relevant information to assess clients and potential client’s financial status and repayment ability. Obviously this will be aligned according to the company credit regulations. I also see myself as being innovative in the sense to improve systems to the benefit of the clients as well as my employer. I have knowledge of various agricultural industries and seasonality which is important in the assessment of the credit risk. Control of portfolio expenses has been part of my job description to improve the profitability of my portfolio as well as that of Standard Bank. Very good knowledge of Cash Flow Forecasts, Income and Expenditure and Financial Statements.
