I would like to express my interest in a position as a Journalist(Freelance) your media company (JOBVINE). I am very passionate about news and always curious about what is happening around the world at large. I have a very good sense of news, and I always update myself with general knowledge by watching news, talking to people and reading newspapers. My strong point is that I cope very well under pressure, without sacrificing accuracy while making sure that I meet deadlines and using my editorial judgment to choose the angle of a story. I have a good sense of humor especially when writing headlines I make sure that they not only illustrate the nature of a story but it keeps the audience interested to know more about the story. My passion is in the newsroom as I am passionate about issues that affect the community and as a journalist I take it as my responsibility to bring those issues on the table and also come up with possible solutions. Those issues includes crime, politics, infrastructure, gender based violence and more. My passion is to change the mentality of the community to see things in a different way by bringing exclusive content that will help them deal with their daily challenges. It does not end there, the community rely on the media to give them news that is happening around them and others they do not even know where to go if they want to claim issues like accident funds, where to report abuse and others they do not even realize when facing abuse they think their life is just normal. Getting the opportunity to be a Freelance in your media company will save many lives out there, because people die every day because they do not have knowledge. Now is time for JOBVINE to stand up and say is enough and the only way to say that is to take a step further and do things that other local media companies are failing to do. I studied Advanced Radio Certificate at Wits Radio Academy, which is where I learnt about journalism and media studies, during my courses I studied Local Radio Journalism, programming and production which is where I learnt about how to produce news content, collect and edit clips and present news. My passion is to be the voice of the voiceless, to speak on behalf of those who cannot speak for themselves and inform the public with current news. Sincerely, Dumisile C. Maduma
