I have 15+ years of experience in the built environment profession. I have submitted my final submission which includes the Declaration, Detailed Resume, General Report including Project Specific Report on the 16th of July 2018. My final submissions has been approved at the South African Council for Quantity Surveying Professionals (SACQSP) and am eligible to sit for my APC and final interview for PrQS status. I am in the process of qualifying and registering as a Project Management Professional through an international institution. I have extensive knowledge including experience, at senior positions in quantity surveying, project management, infrastructure programme management, property conditions assessment including construction contracts management due to working on large scale projects and practicing in the private sector. I can work independently and I am a motivated individual who can work as part of a team and adhere to structures and protocol. I am currently completing my professional skills modules with the SACQSP. My Background and experience makes me an excellent candidate for this position. Furthermore I have worked on projects in both Quantity Surveying and Construction Project Management in an access of over billion Rand. I have held positions as a senior quantity surveyor and construction project manager in the private sector. I have experience practicing in the private sector in a construction project management environment from inception to close out report stage. Experience in project accounting and financial management and ability to work independently with minimum supervision I have worked on various construction projects at different levels from turnkey projects to mixed developments. I have excellent technical report writing skills, also key experience in implementation of housing projects technical procedures, methods and building legislation gained over the year’s being employed in the private sector. My knowledge and experience ranges from building projects, Electrical infrastructure projects, Civil engineering, Infrastructure programs, Condition assessment of state owned buildings, Low cost housing developments, including mixed developments. I have also had the privilege of being a construction contracts manager and I dealt with the actual physical construction aspects which includes coordinating subcontractors, labour procurement, solving construction challenges on site and quality assurance. My strengths are report writing, proposals, submissions, compiling reporting structures, developing new reporting templates and developing of personnel. I have been grated the opportunity to work on software programs in the field of quantity surveying, construction project management and engineering. I am also very versatile and can work on a number of projects and programs simultaneously and that I also bring the knowledge of working both in the private sector and government. It was also required me to develop new templates which consisted of life cycle analysis overview, safety, security & disability compliance, financial cost overview, OHS Compliance, functional performance, utilization, cost analysis, also compiling floor layouts of the facilities that have been assed and providing a succession report in terms of maintenance. I have worked extensively on facilities maintenance and refurbishment projects. My background as a Construction Project Director thus gives me an added advantage terms of procurement when dealing with suppliers. Also as a Construction Contracts Manger I was responsible to manage and put systems in place to monitor labour output, material stores to minimize theft which included managing equipment and putting mechanism in place to assist labourers and promoting accountability. Also being based on site gave me extensive technical knowledge on how to deal with construction design challenges.
