I have worked in the administration sphere and in particular the personal assistant and executive assistant roles for most of my working career. My accomplishments include: project management, diary management, travel management and many others. I have worked on projects to the value of over R1 million rand and organized events with over 80 people. One of my accomplishments includes being a Rio Tinto Hero in 2012. This was a reward for organizing an event that was supposed to take place in Swakopmund but had to be relocated to Johannesburg, South Africa. I was able to arrange accommodation, venue and logistics for over 80 people, all senior executives. This was accomplished 5 days before the first delegates were due to arrive. I have worked on logistics and travel arrangements for up to 80 pax every year for Mining Indaba from 2014 to 2018. This included organizing the stand at the Indaba, logistics for all the delegates, meeting rooms for three divisions, cocktail function for the media and stakeholders and internal events. This would end up being the highlight of my year as something challenging would happen at each and every Mining Indaba. One such challenging event happened during my first Mining Indaba in 2014. We had corporate goods being shipped from Johannesburg to Cape Town. The truck caught alight in Worster, near Cape Town. I was able to contact my suppliers and arrange replacement corporate goods by the time we were due to leave for Cape Town.
